About Mallory
Mallory Woodrow is a social media marketing professional and writer who specializes in digital strategy and content development. She is currently the social media marketing manager for a digital agency based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan where she will leads their social marketing efforts for Jergens, Curél, Bioré, Ban, and John Frieda and works on general social strategy across the board. In her spare time, she teaches the Google Online Marketing Challenge, is a founding member of the Social Media Association of Michigan, and has written for publications such as Forbes, Mashable, Entrepreneur Magazine, and Social Media Examiner.
Previously, she was the Director of Social Media for a search marketing firm where she specialized in search engine optimization and social media strategy. She developed social media strategies, established relationships with key players in the social realm, and developed and executed promotions. She also worked to improve clients' organic search rankings and increase traffic using a combination of keyword research, onsite optimization, and link-building methods.
Prior to her position at Netvantage, she was the VP, Marketing of GiftZip.com, a tech start-up specializing in eGifting. She built a robust social media following, handled blogger and media outreach, managed affiliate programs via CJ, Google, and Linkshare, and worked with retailers such as Meijer, Sephora, MooseJaw, and Fandango on exclusive promotions. In part due to these efforts, GiftZip.com was recently acquired by global gift card firm SVM.
Due to her passion for her fields of work, she is proactive in uncovering the newest techniques and latest technologies as they emerge and is continually updating her skill sets to meet the demands of the ever-changing industries of digital strategy, social media, and search engine optimization. Her breadth of experience in both the trenches of a start-up and working for global brands in a traditional agency setting have made her a well-rounded candidate, proficient in all facets of social media marketing.
